When trying to mirror from the YouTube app to AirServer Universal a DirectShow error message is displayed. This is a known codec issue. The workaround is to mirror YouTube through the browser instead. However, this problem does not occur in our newer version, AirServer Windows 10 Desktop Edition.

If you are using Windows 10, we highly recommend using our Windows 10 Desktop Edition instead. It works fine with the YouTube app if your using an AirPlay device. Please note that casting from apps on Android is only supported on our hardware. AirServer Windows 10 Desktop Edition is more performant, has better stability and receives more frequent updates. If you have a license key for AirServer Universal, it is also valid for this version of AirServer.
